Texas Rig great for Summer
Texas rig is one of my favorite lures to use in the summer, I actually tried setting one up on my line this spring, didn’t catch anything. I was kind of bummed out, every time I use the Texas Rig I at least catch a few bass. It may be a little to early for it, I think it has a little more action than a regular jig. I think bass are going for a really slow retrieve right now. It really could be the spot I’m at, it’s not the greatest. I may go to Stoney Park tomorrow, that would be a good time to try out the Texas Rig. If you haven’t tried setting one up on your line, check out the picture below, it is really easy to do. All you need is a bullet sinker and a special hook that you can make weedless with the soft plastic. That’s a big thing I almost forgot to mention, it’s weedless. So you never have to worry about catching any weeds or loosing it on any rocks, you’ll never get a snag. It’s a must bass lure to have in your tackle box.
