Good Bass Tips
Here’s some great tips on how to catch both largemouth bass and smallmouth bass in freshwater. It can be rather hard some days, the fish tend to hide and have lockjaw. Some great areas to fish for largemouth are in cover under logs or broken down trees near the shoreline. They do chill near the drop of point also. I suggest trying either topwater or a weedless jig near the shoreline. Drop of point would be good for either crankbait or jig.
Smallmouth bass tend to hide in deep water, near drop off points or in a channel. These fish aren’t like largemouth, they love the deep water and may bite on different lures. I like to use either jigs, crankbaits, and spoons in the deep water. Sometimes they can be hard to find, that’s why a fish finder would be a great idea to purchase. If you’re not aware these fish tend to travel in schools which largemouth bass do not, largemouth tend to be loners. If you catch one smallmouth bass, you’ll probably going to catch another right after that one. So it would be a good idea to anchor in the hot spot.
